Hilton HHonors - Status Upgrade

I am currently a Starwood Platinum, but only Hilton Silver.

What would be the odds of being upgraded to Diamond by Hilton if I contacted them and discussed my change of allegiance for the future be?

You should have no trouble getting a Gold upgrade, according to the comments on this board. HHonors runs promotions all the time to comp to Gold. I was able yesterday to bump myself to Gold in one phone call to them.

Diamond is another story. I have never heard of anyone being successful with that one, regardless of how many nights they promised to stay at Hilton properties.
