It's not really worth it. Do a search on this thread for e-rewards and you'll get a better idea. There are not very many opportunities to earn points. When you do get an offer it ends up being only a few points. If I remember correctly you get a choice of $25 off coupon for air fare or a Blockbuster coupon for a free movie or 25 points in e-rewards.

Thanks for the advice on searching (was my first time using the search function).

The majority of people clearly think that the rewards do not justify the time and the intense personal questions asked by Hilton. I'm glad to know that now. And what an insult...a free gift (aren't all gifts free?) for a movie rental. Not exactly generous.

Have a great day. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

While I would agree that it takes a long time to build up any usable balance in e-Rewards (i.e. they don't send you very many emails, with sporadic frequency at best), the emails involve rating promotions, which are not in the least personal. You can redeem points for HHonors points (not enough to get too excited about), or for discounts on DL, UAL, Hertz and some others.

I disagree, E-Rewards is totally worth it. You get a nice reward for signing up, and so far I've earned over $50 in less than a year, just for answering some questions (I myself don't consider "will you buy a car in the next year" and similar questions intensely personal) ... plus they gave me a *free* one-year subscription to Kiplinger's Magazine.

This is by far one of the more rewarding rewards programs around, and you don't have to spend a thing to get decent awards.

Hey Guys!
Dont forget the hilton gold 50000 bonus points promo!!
i dont participate in ANY way with e-rewards but i am a member and did get the signup email. i then passed it on and a couple of my family got gold.
I do know there were other ways to do it but if i wasnt an avid flyertalker i may not EVER have known about this.
They very rearly bug me with emails so i cant complain about E-Rewards.

I think if you rent from Blockbuster often, it may be worth it. The other awards don't have much value to me. My gripe with their Blockbuster awards is they'll send you 6 of them (after you accumulate $25 balance), and each certif is only good for a specified WEEK. Ergo, use it that week or lose it, and you can't use more than 1 per week.

The questions they ask aren't too bad, e.g. are you planning to take a cruise in the next 12 months.
