Hilton HHonors - Airline Awards - Use HH or Convert

I have enough HH points for two, round trip coach awards between SF and Honolulu. Should I take the award from HH or would it be more beneficial to convert to airline miles? Are the airline awards issued by HH subject to blackout?

sactoroy -- Why would you want to convert? With HHonors award, you can redeem it on either AA, UA, or Hawaiian. Plus, 100,000 HHonors points would yield only 24,000 on AA and 20,000 on UA or Hawaiian.

Also, several members reported that you can earn miles flying AA on one of the HHonors awards.

Even though the mileage is greater had you transferred TO Hilton to get to the 100K points, there are more seats available on the plane with the HHonors award than with the airline economy saver awards. You certainly would NOT want to transer back! Really poor ratios.
