Southwest Rapid Rewards - Drink Coupons Expiring--help

Hey, I still have about 5+ drink coupon booklets left that expire 8/31.
I have switched southwest from being my main carrier since the RR 2.0, and will not use them in time. I do not want to sell them on eBay.
Now - I know I don't have enough posts to see coupon connection, but if anyone would like a book send me a PM and I will accommodate as many people as I can, just pm me your name and mailing address and I will throw them in the mail free of charge. Would hate to see them go to waste.
Please only request if for certain you will be flying before 8/31. I will post here as soon as I run out (if this thread stays up that long.) If I do not reply to your PM - I am out of booklets.
Thanks!
Mike

I have 8 tan books and 6 white books. I haven't been paying attention to the drink coupon situation so I don't know if the white ones are good until 8/31. I will also send these out to anyone. Let me know about the white ones.

To get rid of mine, I plan on "buying drinks" for anyone on my flights during the final days. :)

Same boat here... I have 44 coupons that I'll share with whoever needs them for flights this month before the expiration. PM with your name/mailing address and I'll send 'em your way! (If you do "happen" to have some new coupons with a later expiration date, you're welcome to send me a few in exchange ;) )

Thanks for the generous offer (and to your predecessors on this thread as well). YGPM.

That's exactly what this one guy did. He sat next to me on a flight from Pittsburgh to Las Vegas and had about 15(i kid you not) old COMPANY CLUB drink coupon he found in the attic. The FA said she'll take them but warned about the 8/31 expiration cut off date. But believe it or not, not many people drank on that flight. I guess it was too early in the morning people slept most of the way.

I was able to pass a few out on a flight back from LAS earlier this week...but, not many folks felt the need to drown their sorrows! Must've been a flight full of winners!
I may head to SAT to pass my "leftovers" out!

I have four tan coupons left -- so I'll send two each via USMail free to the next two people who PM me their address (US only).
Have a drink on Flyertalk!

I'm tempted to book a few ONT-LAS-PHX turns this month and buy the entire plane drinks just to see the look on the FA's faces. :D

I'm planning on doing just this on a MDW-LAS flight on 8/31! I will make sure that every available expiring drink coupon I have is put to good use. :D

if anyone else has extras, I would be more than happy to take them for you! My husband and I are flying with our 7 month old cross country in 2 weeks, so we could definitely use the drinks :-)

Somebody should accept shipments of all the expiring coupons from a slew of people, put them in a huge box, and ship them to WN with notes of "thanks."

I'd rather show up at PHX with the aforementioned giant box and set up a sign past security that says "FREE DRINK TIX"
I was surprised at how hard it was to give them away at the airport. Last year I tried going up and down the A line for a SFO-MDW flight and had one (attractive) female take some. Everyone else just looked at me like I was from Melmac.
I was also disappointed I wasn't on that flight with the attractive female. :(

In my expert opinion, the attractive female accepted the coupons so readily since she's used to having strangers buy her drinks. For homely people like myself on the other hand, it's a foreign concept.

I plan on taking my stash of the expiring tan ones with me on my last Friday afternoon flight of the month, giving them to the FAs & asking the FAs to use them for the drink orders for the flight, as far as they go. If we all did that, we might make a noticeable dent in the SW drink revenues for the week!

I managed to get through all mine (someone has to do the dirty work). But given all the posts of people recycling their coupons, I wonder if this was the Southwest Effect that GK & Co. had in mind when they imposed expiration dates on no expiration date coupons.

I still have a few left...anyone interested, drop me a Private Message with your address and how many you need. I'll mail 'em out to you N/C -- until they're gone!
A bit frustrating, since I paid for some of these *&%# things! More than once, I would get to the airport and buy a book from the gate agent.
But, I look at it as just one more proverbial straw... Thanks WN.
