Indeed, many issues that have been discussed here over the years. My favorite line: "Over the years, we’ve collected a stack of cards addressed to one of us, both of us, to Mr. and Mrs., and even one with a feminized spelling of my partner’s first name—'Barnie.'” Us too, just last week in fact.

Thanks for posting, that was an enjoyable read. My Dad and I were once sharing a hotel room and got a welcome letter addressed to "Mr. and Mrs. CMK10". We got in an argument over who had to be the girl :D
This is kind of amazing...
Linda Hirshman, who, with her husband, David Forkosh, has traveled with Ann and Constance for years, grew so infuriated watching the check-in dance “for the umpteenth time” at a London hotel that she took action. Before arriving with them at a Paris hotel, she said: “I e-mailed the hotel and said: ‘We are traveling with our lesbian couple best friends. We asked for a room with one large bed for them, and every time we check into a hotel they’re given a hard time. We want them to be checked in just like a heterosexual married couple. You’re French, you gave refuge to Oscar Wilde, so the honor of the French people depends on this.’ ” It worked: Ann and Constance sailed through check in.
