Got this Hilton sponsored survey via e-mail. At the close of the 15 minute survey, $25 or 5,000 HHonors points were offered.

I XXXX out my user name below. Point is that if you got the e-mail, it's worth the time to fill out.
---
The deadline is almost here, but we still need your help! To earn the
promised $25, or at least 5000 hotel program points, we need your
response to our questionnaire by midnight May 1st.

Note: For those of you who have started the study, but did not finish,
you may resume from where you stopped. Just go back to the URL
and type in your username again. The program will take you back to
the last question you saw.

Our client, a leading Hotel company with a Frequent Travel program, is
conducting a study of frequent travelers to improve its benefits and
rewards. Your answers (and those of other frequent travelers) will help our
client determine the best program for its frequent guests.

To complete the survey, please click on the URL below. With most Internet
browsers, this will send you directly to the website where the study is
hosted. Or, you may copy the link and paste it into your browser if
necessary. Please read the directions on the first page of the website and
then type in the username, provided below.

If you have any problems or would like to share any comments on the study,

The invitation says at least 5000 points. It's actually 10,000.

"user name" that is required. Which program user name?

CAP

The user name they gave me was a number. It did not match any numbers in my account number. Don't know where they got them.

The survey is by invitation only. So unless you receive an invitation or can "borrow" an unused username, you are out of luck.

So the point of posting this was...?

For those of us not invited, the interesting part of this thread is value. Seems like the value of HH points per this choice is 1/2 cent to 1 cent per point based on the 5000 or 10000 in different comments.

The point of posting this is that most people get too much SPAM e-mail. Most will simply disregard or delete e-mails that they do not know who sent it to them.

A large number of readers in this forum probably received this survey offer as it appears to be going out to Hilton elites.

The main point is that it's worth opening the e-mail up and responding if you received it as I have now given members a "head's up" on what to look for.

Members, please let me know if you want me to refrain from posting these "head's up" messages in the future.

I sent an e-mail to TSupport@CMBINFO.com
and w/in an hour they replied with a numeric username for me to use.

It worked! I'm now (or will be in 6-8 weeks) 5,000 points closer to that Hilton vacation that I so desperately need!

What did you say in your email? That you wanted to participate and request a username, or that you were already picked to participate, but had lost the username?

I tried to do the same thing and I e-mailed them concerning my interest in partaking in the survey ... no dice. They essentially said that it was targeted and that I was not a target.

I did the same thing. They said that they would check to see if I was one of the targeted frequent stayers, but I haven't heard back from them.

I too tried to participate and got the following reply:

'Thank you for your interest, but we have used a randomly selected group from
our client's sample list. Thank you though for your time.

Regards.'

Sorry for my sharp response. You did the right thing, and I was just frustrated at not being able to access the survey. Keep 'em coming, and thanks.

I took the survey (got the invitation). I have booked several times on Hampton's web site and used the Magellan's certificates.

I took the $25 because these days, 5,000 Hilton points isn't a lot compared to other recent bonuses. There was no indication that it was 10,000... I might have taken that.

I hope they don't change the program so that Hamptoneers get fewer perks.

For some reason I got 10,000 points. Yahoo! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I opted for the $25 as I have plenty of HHonors points. Well, my check arrived last night. Easiest $25 I've made.

I just received my $25 check as well. I currently have about 500,000 points so it seemed like a better option. I must admit I was a little suspicious at first but it all turned out to be legit.
