Germany - Bavaria okays Munich airport expansion

The local states's government legally okayed the third runway at MUC airport yesterday.
Now everybody can go to court over it. After a final decision the runway is expected to be full 4000 meters long. Should make life more punctual at MUC. Could mean LH further ignoring Berlin in the future.

Even after this clearance it might take ages till actually something happens. After the experiences with the rail station in Stuttgart I would suspect big protest marches followed by a long mediation process.

Could mean LH further ignoring Berlin in the future.

One relevant aspect to this is the future development of Air Berlin. With joining OneWorld it might be too dangerous for LH to give too much space to Air Berlin in Berlin - maybe just wishful thinking of someone based in Berlin ;)
