SkyTeam - MU PVG-HNL new route : any updates & news?

Any updates on the suposed new MU route PVG-HNL, that is (was?) to start on August 9th?

It was announed back in mid June,

I think it is indeed starting in August, just read it from MU website and it will be a tuesdays and Fridays departure.

And it's not bookable anywhere (or on their own site) either.

Ah, so charter flights only, not really bookable then for revenue or award.

Well, hopefully they will be turned into regular proper scheduled flights soon, that will give the option of PVG (MU) in addition to ICN (KE) and NRT, KIX and NGO (DL) to connect to when flying out of HNL to the rest of the world (esp. for award flights, as for awards flying via US49 on DL is virtually impossible).

New routes for MU in August to HNL and HAM..

The Chinese website lists flights from PVG to HNL now.

Translation:
PVG - HNL depart Tuesday and Friday at 6pm, arrive at 9:50 am
HNL - PVG depart Tuesday and Friday at 11:50am, arrive next day at 4:40pm

Plane used is a A343, economy single trip starts at 4310CNY, return at 6630CNY, economy premium return starts at 11000CNY (all exc. tax)

It can be booked online on the Chinese website now too.


The flight to HAM is also listed on the booking form, but cannot yet be booked.
