I have one night in Hong Kong and enough points for a free night at either a Hilton or Sheraton. Is there one close to the train from the airport? Been staring at maps for hours and can't figure it out!

There's a W right above Kowloon Station. The Conrad is a short taxi (or shuttle bus) ride from Hong Kong Station, as is the Sheraton from Kowloon Station.

Are you sure you were staring at a HKG map? :p

Yeah, if you can't figure it out from a HK map, there is something up - because it can't really be much easier for a native-english speaker than HK.

From an SPG member, I'd recommend the HK Sheraton Hotel & Towers.

We stayed in the Towers on our honeymoon and had a great time - the views from our room of the harbour were fantastic and the other services (breakfast, tea, etc) were great. Aside from being on the wrong side of the city, it was very close to a lot of things, including the TST subway stop and the Star Ferry terminal.

I'd stay away from the W unless you really want to be over on the West side of Kowloon and I'd stay away from Cyberport, especially if you can't figure out the HK map :)

Actually, if the OP only has a night, staying at the W isn't a bad idea. It's connected to the Elements Mall which also has a ton of shops and restos. Depending on when the OP is leaving, staying in an air-conditioned environment has its advantages.

Even if the OP really wants to head to TST, there's the free shuttle.

+1 for the W. It is above the Kowloon station where you can checkin your luggage 24 hours before the flight if taking the train back to the airport. Hotel is great for Platinum recognition. Guarantee late checkout is especially great if have late flight to depart.

Stay at W, just to make sure you're killed and dead ;)

...From an SPG member, I'd recommend the HK Sheraton Hotel & Towers....Most free night awards cannot be redeemed for the Towers, just for the Sheraton part of the hotel (which is half the hotel that the Towers is!). Sometimes you can upgrade to Towers using points on a free night award, but not always, so it may not be an option for the OP. But Sheraton is 15 min bus ride from the airport express which cuts into the convenience, though I agree the W location is a bit isolated. Both are better than the Hilton choices (Conrad).

Was out in TST 2 days ago. The New World Center is now down to just 2-3 floors, so the view has gotten better from the Sheraton.
