The European Union does have regulations for air transportation including compensation terms for delays and cancelations. I would look into whether you are due any compensation based on the delays and if Iberia followed the terms and compensated you.
Iberia is under such cost pressure from low fare carriers that I doubt they would voluntarily offer compensation as a gesture of good will to the customer-particularly to a deep discount fare paying customer.
