We recently stayed at the Paris CDG Airport Marriott Hotel. For anyone else thinking of making the same mistake, I've copied my comments below, which I'd sent to Marriott customer service.
While I love Marriott hotels as a whole, my experience with stays at Marriott hotels outside of the US have been very inconsistent. I'm sending this message specifically with regard to my recent stay at the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport Marriott Hotel. As a whole, the hotel was very dated, the water in the toilet ran all night, the coffee at breakfast was so horrible I literally could not drink it, but the worst was the shower fixture, which gyrated from luke warm to scolding hot, and then to freezing cold. As such, taking a shower took roughly 20 minutes.
Lastly, while I did not make the effort to request to talk with the hotel Manager, given my horrible opinion of the hotel, I was stunned that for the first time in my life I was not asked at checkout "how was your stay with our hotel" or something of the sort. While I feel my thoughts I've written here are really common sense impressions of this hotel as a whole, had I been asked at checkout, I would have said something for certain.
