Other Hotel Programs - Club Swiss Gold Program Changes in August?

Hi,

i just qualified for Club Swiss Gold Elite. Within the "upgrade" mail I was told that they don't send out cards out now, because program changes are being implemented next month.

does anyone know what one can expect?

have you heard anything on this? I am still waiting for my card and notice of the "enhancements."

All info about the program is displayed on their site now.

I had Gold status with them before, but this has now been transferred to their Eleve (middle) status.

Amongst changes, internet access is free all the time (not just first 24h) for all with Eleve status or higher.

Also, I redeemed a Premier Award earlier today on a night that seemed extremely busy (prices like 2-3x as usual) and it went through just fine, so that was a nice confidence boost.

Does anyone know if I got any advantages on Fairmont properties as Swiss Circle Zenit member?

Recently I received my packet from Swissotel for Circle rewards. Looks like a downgrade in rewards.

Three tiers, Inizia (19 or fewer stays a year), Eleva (20 nights a year), and Zenit (60 nights a year).

Only Zenit received free upgrades and inizia does not get you credits for stays at Raffles or Fairmont. Inizia also does not receive free internet access.

but then it's valid for two years ... and who needs suite upgrades anyway. I am an eleva member and free breakfast, free lounge access and free internet is worth the tier. as intercontinental royal ambassador neither free breakfast nor club lounge access is a guaranteed perk.

I was gold in 2011 but did not get Eleva for 2012.

Does anyone know if they will do status match with other programs? About to have a few stays at Swissotel in Quito and I'm Platinum Le Club and Gold Priority Club.

Swissotel Circle doesn't do Status Match with competitor programs. It was only done with Marriott members when Swissotel took over the Courtyard in Phuket. Enjoy Quito.

i was matched from royal ambassador (although prior to the swiss circle program). since then I had 32 nights @ Swissotels and should be requalified for another two years.

I have reached the eleva level and wish to redeem my preimer award. I looked how to do this and it tells me to contact the hotel directly which I did. They have no known ledge of how to process it. I want to use it for the dinner , any tips.?

Congratulations on reaching Eleva.
Sad to hear you couldn't use your awards though. Which hotel was it?
the best would be to write a quick mail with your Swissotel Circle number to circle(at)swissotel.com and ask them for support.
