India - Is there a transit counter in Mumbai Airport (airside/transit area)?

I'll be flying from Kenya to Singapore next month, transiting Mumbai. these 2 legs are bought separately from 2 different airlines.(Kenya Airways & Singapore Airlines).

After arrival at Mumbai, is there a transit counter where I could get the boarding pass for my connecting SQ flight to Singapore? Without the need to clear customs since I don't have an Indian Visa.

Based on my google, seems like there's no transit counter?

Thanks in advance!

Of course there are transfer desks.

Just follow the signs for "INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER".

Thousands of passengers use the facility every week!!

B747-437B, I'm not so sure. If the OP bought separate tickets, he won't be able to interline his luggage. If he has to claim his luggage in Mumbai before checking it in again, can he do so without clearing customs?

Thanks both for replying.

hyderago, you're right. I've just received a reply from Kenya Airways:

"Dear Yeong,
Thank you for choosing to fly Kenya Airways.
In Nairobi you will check-in only for KQ to Mumbai then in Mumbai you check-in again for Singapore Airlines hence cannot check the luggage through
Regards
Carol"

Seems like I'll have to clear customs and re-check in at the SQ counter. Entering India means that I'll have to get an Indian Visa. oh my...

Singaporean. Yes, I can get a transit visa. But I saw on the website that it is subjected to approval. So, I think it safer to get a visa before the whole trip.

I agree. And I don't think you'll have much trouble getting it. I don't know about Kenya, but in the US, you can typically get within a day. In fact, you might even want to apply for a multiple entry tourist so you won't have this problem next time.

Even better: Singaporeans can get a visa on arrival at Bombay Airport.

Which can take ages...

That said, there is a possibility for SQ to retrieve your luggage and check it again. So I would head to the transfer desk first/asap and see what they can do. If not possible, head down, go thru immigration and sort out the luggage issue.

Hi Folks,

Arriving BOM on CX685 12:15AM departing BOM same day 1:30am.

It is a 1:15 minute transit. KVS tools says 1:30 connect time, But I will have no baggage.
Is this turn around on the same aircraft in Mumbai possible?

I am planning an AONE4 out of JNB and wanted to use up and extra first class segment on CX from HKG.
I have not flown through BOM yet so any advice is helpful. (I guess I have turned into a milages runner!)

Will I need go though immigration?
Thanks in advance!

Cheers!
