A van will cost you a lot and the cross-border OW drop-off is going to cost even more. If you don't think you need to make any stops between MUC and the Austrian border, take a train to Salzburg (can get tickets for as little as EUR 15 a person bought through bahn.de) and pick up a rental from there if you intend to make stops between there are Vienna. szaicev Jul 19, 11, 5:55 am Thanks. But why to pick up rental in Salzburg? Not to pay border crossing? How much it is? YVR Cockroach Jul 19, 11, 9:08 am Not to pay border crossing? How much it is? When I checked last year, it was lots ( I think it added EUR 100-200 to the 4-day rental of a small car). It may be worth your while for 6 people over train fare though. YMMV. sindjic Jul 19, 11, 3:31 pm Thanks. But why to pick up rental in Salzburg? Not to pay border crossing? How much it is? Why don't you check the price difference yourself...although, do note that sometime one-way fee is not added to the total and will be charged at the point of pickup. lemieux66 Jul 20, 11, 4:54 pm the one way drop of charge will be not below 180 EUR with any major car rental company. |
