What is the present cheapest qualifying stay for HHonors Points in the USA?

Whats the cheapest HHonors Hotel in the world?

hmmm.. seems that you might have missed the $17.54 hilton hhonors qualifying stays at the las vegas/laughlin hiltons.. now i'd say it's the $59 rate available at a few hotels.. check out the search function above in this forum for these properties..

Stayed in El Paso and Midland Texas for 55 and 49 dollars respectively in late Dec.

I just stayed at the Hampton Inn Vancouver Airport (Richmond, BC) for $59.00 CDN. That converts to about $39.44 US this week.

Also, the Hampton Inn North of Niagara Falls has a US$39.00 rate on the weekend (I didn't check the weekday price).

Reno Hilton has some $29 rates available
in January

Do value rates qualify for double dip? United's e-fare email lists a couple of $49 stays (ABQ Doubletree, COS Doubletree).

When I logged onto the Hilton site this a.m., up popped a Flamingo Hilton Las Vegas special indicating $39 per night for certain nights this winter. I thought it was no longer a "Hilton," but just a "Flamingo?"

I've stayed at the Gulfport, MS Hampton Inn in November for $39.00 week day rate, higher on weekends.

The Las Vegas Hilton is constantly having specials in the $35 to $50 range. Hint: Don't book through the Hilton website or phone #'s. Book through the parkplace site (the real owners). It's at www.lv-hilton.com (http://www.lv-hilton.com)

I received bonus credit for $29 and $39 Reno Hilton stays last month.

Are all the Park Place hotels in Las Vegas, Hiltons? Can you receive HH if they're not?
They have some pretty great hotels listed and alot of specials.

No, not all parkplace properties are Hilton Hhonors hotels. Several just happen to be. Namely, LV Hilton, Paris Hilton, and Ballys, all in las vegas. None others that I know of.

I recieved points for a $38 rate at the LV Hilton in 2001. Hmmm. The $49 minimum for points story may not be true.

As pointman points out, there's a different rate posted between the hilton and parkplace websites. There was a great thread in december that highlighted the flamingo hilton in laughlin, nv, at a $19 or so rate. If the reservation was made through the hilton site, then even a no-show cost of $19 got you a credit for a stay; valuable for those within reach of gold or platinum. However, there's no place to put your HHonors # at the parkplace site and some have been frustrated in getting credit. Now with the status of some of the nv hiltons up in the air, we're waiting for clarity.

As to rates, always check the specials; the value rates usually show up within a week of travel. So, if the hotel's underbooked, then you may get a deal (but they're usually non-refundable). Be creative, book ahead at the best rate available and then check back just before you arrive.

I called HH tonight, I'm checking in tonight, and HH told me they are giving a hard time to HH members regarding points but technically they are required to do so. If not, to send a copy of my folio in and they will credit me accordingly. BTW, its a 69.00 rate

Bringing this thread to the top in hope that someone will add some cheap stays that qualify for Fast Track to Gold.

I checked out two of the Hampon Inns mentenioned in Canada and the prices are 89.00 USD.

Anyone know of anything in the 39.00 range or cheaper?

I called Laughlin Hilton and was told that they are not a Hilton property. I then called Hilton and was told that they were a Hilton property. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he confirmed that they are still trying to work this out and that Laughlin will not issue points nor stay credit, however, HHonors will. Just fax the invoice to 972-788-1818 attn: document services. The names I had were Jeff at the service center (supervisor) and Lorraine at the universal desk.

But that requires you to get and invoice which means that you MUST stay at the hotel! Kind of defeats the puropose.

I found $45 stays at https://secure.parkplace.com/playppe/lv-hilton/resindex.asp?a=1 Las Vegas hilton. Anyone found anything cheaper?

You can get $39 rates at the Reno Hilton and $29 rates at the Flamingo Reno (and you can get HHonors points for the Flamingo per Blake, the hotel's assistant manager). You'll find the $39 rates at www.renohilton.com (http://www.renohilton.com) under "Hot Dates" and the $29 rate at www.flamingoreno.com (http://www.flamingoreno.com) under "Value Dates." The instructions are to reserve rooms at these rates on line, but it doesn't work. There is an 800 number also listed and I suggest you call that number once find a date on the chart that you want.

So with these cheap rates, do you actually have to stay there (check in, check out) to get the HHonors points and stay credit? Or can you be a no-show and get credit?

I've never tried being a no-show. Since Reno is home, I usually stay at the hotel on the night before I have a morning flight, use their complimentary valet parking and airport shuttle, and save the cost of airport parking.

Even if you don't stay at the hotel, you can ask them to fax you a copy of the invoice.

No, you don't have to stay. I took an intentional no-show worth 20,000+ points a couple of months ago for the last Fast Track to Gold bonus. The property said that I would not earn HHonors points, but a call to the HHonors desk got me the points and the bonus. They didn't even ask for a copy of the no-show recipt.
