Both amazing looking resorts - both have great reviews on Tripadvisor (especially from 1st timers to the Maldives)
I've been to The Maldives 3 times before - all islands are stunning.
This time I want to experience a 5* resort in a water villa.
SG is rustic in design, Halaveli looks slightly more comfortable but costs slightly more (for what I've been quoted)
I don't mind the fact that SG only has 40 villas, as nearly every resort I've visited has been 100% full - yet feels deserted (benefit of The Maldives)
I'm looking for feedback from guests who have stayed in Soneva Gili before and also stayed in another premium resort for a comparison.
My doubts for staying at Soneva Gili have arisen given the slightly worn condition of villas and beach seen here (http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ReviewPhotos-g298332-d301969-r83647412-Soneva_Gili_by_Six_Senses-North_Male_Atoll.html)
