Choice Privileges - Ottawa options / Quality or Econo Lodge

Considering a trip to Ottawa 3rd week of August and considering a stay downtown. The Quality and Econo Lodge are certainly within budget as I have points to spare. The Quality is 8000 and the Econo Lodge is 16000. Friday and Saturday night stay with public transportation from the airport to downtown is the most likely option. No objections to other hotels or other forms of transportation. The weather should be lovely in August with highs in the high 70s! 107 in Tulsa a the moment! (42 Celsius)

If you are interested in renting a car and exploring other Ottawa area hotel options, there's a Comfort Inn in Gatineau, Quebec for 12,000 points that is just fine. It's a short but confusing drive to downtown Ottawa from there. And since it is in Quebec it is an entirely different experience, like spending the day in one country and sleeping in another country: different foods, different language, different customs, different immigrant pool.

Thanks so much. Thought about public transportation only but a rental certainly is not out of the question.
