Las Vegas - Vdara Extended Stay: $2900 per Month

Does one still need to pay a resort fee on top of this? If so, that's a non-trivial adder of close to $700 a month, including taxes.

The resort fee would be killer not to mention August being a miserable time of year to visit. So the $2900 "monthly" rate still does not work out that great as 31 nights would equal $93/night. Vdara is constantly offering discounts especially Sun-Thurs for less.

Given the economic state of real estate in Vegas, you could rent a fully furnished house with private pool and all utilities for that.......and no resort fee!
