Hilton HHonors - HH deleting stays?!

I just checked my acct at the HH site and there had been a deletion of a stay at the LAX Hilton. I called HH customer service and the gal said they are going through accts and corrects mistakes.

Was my stay at the Hilton LAX a mistake, maybe.:P

I would suggest everyone verify that this has not happened in your accts also.

I noticed one of my stays was delete, but it was a valid stay. We can not seem to post anything right. I have 3 stays screwed up now. I just faxed 20 pages to try to correct it.

this explains why i have a whole bunch of stays added to my AA/Hilton!

Thanks for the Heads Up! I was puzzling about why my on-line account listed my last stay correctly, but it did not show up in the table of stays, and my points hadn't been adjusted.

Called Customer Service, and sure enough, the stay had been deleted. The Rep thought it was because it was a "day stay" - ? Our plane was very late arriving, and we got to the hotel after midnight and checked out around noon - so it showed all on one date. Don't know why shouldn't I get credit even if it had been a "day stay", but she was happy to reinstate my stay. I'll keep an eye on it though. It worries me just a bit, because I didn't get a bill under my door, there was a mob at the front desk, and I called and asked them to mail me the bill. That was Feb. 4th, and it still hasn't shown up.

Okay, the stay and the points for the night at LAX are still missing, but now there is a extra 100k points in my acct.

I would prefer they just get it correct and keep it that way.

I'll keep everyone posted as to what happens next.

Yep, I was hit too. My last stay and 15,000 points disappeared overnight.

I just called to get my missing threshhold bonus from last quarter and when we finished that I asked about the missing stay. I was told that the deleted stays were a computer error that would be corrected in 5 to 7 days. The very nice CSR said they had been getting a lot of calls and I told her she had my sympathy. Let's not take it out on the CSRs.

Update My points and stay have been returned to my account overnight and not in 5 to 7 days. Good job.

I sure hope you're right about the computer making an error. it sounds a little fishy to me that it would start eliminating my stays each time i went to the site. I viewed my account twice in 2 days and each time a stay was deleted. I'll see what others say before calling them. I suggest everyone to start tracking on an excel sheet. Everytime i see the points registered, i highlight it in my sheet. This way I'll know when they decide to mistakenly vanish my pts.

My deleted stay is back, but now my Fast-Track points are off by 5000. The first stay doesn't show at all, the 3rd one is credited at 15,000 instead of 10,000 - making the total correct but not the details, but the 4th stay shows 20,000 instead of 25,000.

So far, no sign that merely accessing my account is making any difference.

On a positive note, I saw that I have actually gotten credit for one of my Doubletree stays that never posted, through the "missing stay" page on the website. So I will be watchful, but not worry too much for a few days anyway.

I, too, had a stay deleted. Noticed it early this morning and called. No problem reinstating it.

But now I've noticed something new:

My double double dip and AMEX points are gone! Under "Other Activity", there are line items titled "Q4/Q1 Bonus", but they now have ZERO balances.

Anyone else see this? Check your statements.

I guess I'll be calling again tomorrow morning...

Oh, and my Conquest bonues are also 5,000, 10,000, 15,000 and 20,000. An extra 5,000 they had accidentally added to my account has since been removed as well.

A week ago my total dropped from 291K to 282K, during which time I had 2 stays whick did not yet post. Now it is back up to 291, but no other changes.Every once in a while when I am bored, I go through my statements and call to have them post missing stays and bonuses. It is a kind of irritation tax one has to pay.

The deleted stays, having strange addresses and HHonors numbers show up on my bill give me a very uneasy feeling about Hiltons computers.
My experience of having my account merged with someone on the other side of the country doesn't help either.

I've been checking the web site pretty regularly to see if my 4rth Fast Track to Gold stay posted yet and was shocked to see that a previous stay had been deleted. I called HHonors desk and the CSR was really sharp. She fixed it in an instant plus added the points for that 4th stay I had been waiting.

Sounds like a lot of people had this problem! I'll have to be more careful about hanging on to receipts in the future.
