Not if they automatically upgraded you to Gold. If they did, your card will probably arrive in about two weeks. I'm sure you know you can check your status online to see if they did upgrade you.

Thanks a lot TravelWeary, I did get VIP straight away. As it happens I have booked 4 nights next week, 2 seperate Hiltons and two seperate Hamptons.
I have a standard room booked at San Diego harbour Island, now I'm Gold what are the chances of being upgraded to Harbour View?

Very good question. Due to a small world thing, I will actually be at this same hotel next week also, so I'll also find out what happens. But, I don't want to hear about it if you get upgraded and I don't! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
I will be moving up north to the Hilton Del Mar the next day for a meeting--don't tell me that is your other Hilton or that would be too wierd.
