I will be flying of MK LHR-MRU in Y with no status on MK. I will be arriving in LHR from YYC on AC in J.

Will MK fill up J seats if they are empty? Any suggestions on getting an upgrade? Is there such a thing as a last minute upgrade we can pay for?

I fly often on MK. They will now fill up J seats unless if there are Operational Requirements. MK Kestrel flyer elite/silver members will get priority if operational upgrades arises.

However they do offer last minute upg at the airport depending on capacity, from CDG - MRU, the upgrade is set at EUR 800, i think from LHR its around GBP 500 one way. You enquire at the check-in counter itself.

From Mauritius to LHR, upgrade is set at Mauritian Rupees 18 000, which is around GBP 400.

I have signed up for Kestrel, but other than this round trip I don't see myself flying to MRU anytime soon. I have been invited to some weddings next year, but can't forsee being able to make it. What can I do with these points?
