The iconic camera-maker Hasselblad has been acquired by a Swiss/German capital group. While the group does not promise any major changes, one can hope Hasselblad replaces their awful plastic camera housings (which really do boggle the mind considering the cameras cost as much as a small car).

Don't hold your breath.
I suspect that Hasselblad cameras and lenses [save the 5xx should Vintizz keep it in the portfolio] will continue to be made in Japan by Fuji for some time to come.
