Throw in a connection in PDX as well, and it's down to 4.4CPM...

Due to the tax beak that AS is passing on to the customer its down to 305ai for BOS-SEA-SAN and return. That brings the CPM down to 4.3

If you buy AA gift cards from Costco and buy via AA.com it is down to ~3.8 CPM.

If you buy it using an AS bofa cc, you get 1,000 bonus miles. Buy it as two one ways, and that nets you 2,000 extra. Of course, I think this only works if crediting to AS.

Why? The flights are AS coded on AS metal, just bought on AA.com. Does location of purchase affect elite benefits?

Yes, some Costcos are selling AA giftcards: $300 value but you pay $270 (10% discount essentially). They are good for any flights on AA.com. There is a thread in the AA forum.
