Emirates Skywards - How to get from BA flight to Emirates flight at Heathrow

Next month I am flying from Dubrovnik to LHR on British Airways, and then on to Sydney on Emirates.

The Dubrovnik flight arrives at LHR at 17:15, and the Emirates flight leaves at 20:40.

My questions are...

Will this be enough time to transfer from T5 to T3?
Is there any way our luggage can be interlined?
Do we need to collect our luggage at T5 and then check in again at T3?
And do we need to go through immigration at LHR?

Any help would be most appreciated. Apologies in advance if I have posted this in the wrong place.

It might be worth re-checking your itinerary. BA's Dubrovnik service operates out of and into London Gatwick North Terminal.

Three hours is the minimum recommended connection time for a LGW to LHR transfer. You will need to proceed through UK Border Control and collect your luggage at LGW and recheck it on arrival at LHR T3.

Oooops, sorry, I got it wrong when I was writing this.

The flight is from Prague to London, not Dubrovnik to London. So I'm pretty sure it ends up at LHR T5.

5 hours will be fine as long as the BA flight is on time. You will have to collect your bags at LHR and take them to T3 for check in since BA policy is not to provide checking through of luggage when on separate itineraries ( unless the onward airline is a OneWorld carrier )

Since you have to go landside , then you will have to clear immigration

Be aware that if the BA flight does get significantly delayed and you do miss the connection , BA has no obligations to rebook you , so check the cancellation penalties for the EK flight ( esp for no-show )

Thanks Dave. It is only 3.5 hours (if everything goes to plan) which doesn't seem like a lot of time to arrive at T5, go through immigration, pickup luggage, go through customs, get to T3, checkin 90 minutes before Emirates flight...

More than enough time. It only takes 10 mintues by train from T5 to T3. Bearing in mind most of the people going through T5 will be domestic travellers, going through immigration should not be a major hassle. Say 1 hour max by the time you get your luggage, there should be no problems. Also, Emirates will generally let you check in your luggage up to 40 mins before departure at T3.

"Domestic" as in EU passengers who file into a different lane as opposed to international travellers
