Iberia Airlines Iberia Plus - Ib a340 @ lhr

Just saw an IB A340 take off from LHR at 2005 GMT. Never seen one before at LHR that I can recall. Any ideas? MAD traffic for Wimbledon to see Nadal? :)

Last wednesday (June 29) my flight (IB3162) was merged with the previous one and placed on a bigger aircraft (A340). I guess it was just due to a technical problem on a smaller A320.

Going back 10 years ago or so, there was an IB/BA (can't quite remember which) A340 operating the MAD-LHR route. I always assumed it was a continuation of an inbound flight from South America that connected through to LHR. Anyway, I used to time my trips to be able to use it and the huge business class seats. It left Madrid round 4.30pm if memory serves.
