Travel Photography - Looking for people to share their in-flight photos

As a frequent flyer who loves sitting in the window seat, it struck me one day to pull out my cell phone, switch on the camera, and see just how good a picture through an airplane window could look. Some don't turn out well at all, but it turns out some turn out really well. Don't ask me what the secret is as I can't figure it out, but it got me to thinking "there have got to be a lot of people out there, flying all over the world, who have seen some remarkable views out of their windows. Why not setup a blog for them to share these pictures with the rest of the world."

And so I did.

Brilliant idea! I myself am thinking of taking my Xperia Arc to Europe this year, so it's good to see some samples from similar things.

I have seem some great and some terrible shots out the window. I am looking forward to checking this out......

I don't have a tumblr account, but you can probably add it up there yourself if you want. Taken on a Finnair flight, SIN-HEL, with a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc mobile phone. As mentioned in an earlier post on this thread, yes - I did take this phone with me to Europe and used it as a camera the whole way through. A new leap for me, but I did get some incredible shots, for a mobile phone!

These are some of my favorite pics taken from a window. I got these earlier this year (2011) on a MR (PHL-IAH-LAX-PSP-LAX-IAH-PHL). These were taken out the window of an Embraer 120 flying over the mountains between PSP and LAX. The flight was maybe 20 minutes, enough time to clear the ceiling and land in LA. I missed some good shots on the way into Palm Springs, so I was sure to have my camera ready for the flight out. There are 5 or 6 pictures total, so click through to see them all. Sorry if its slow to load, these are being hosted out of my basement...
