Flamingo Laughlin NO LONGER participates in HHONORS as of Jan 1, 2001.

It was the best deal in the country

I booked a stay at the Laughlin Flamingo yesterday for the end of January. I tried to do it through the Hilton system and was told to call the hotel directly. I called the hotel and told them I wanted to use a buy- one-get-one-free airline coupon for Hilton's and was told they could not take it. The agent did tell me to bring it anyway and try to talk the front desk into accepting it.

I told him (and it really is true, IMHO) that with or without the coupon the Flamingo is still the best hotel in Laughlin and even at $45 weekend nights and $27 weeknights (that includes the extra $10 per night for a riverview room)it's one of the best deals in the world.

I repeat: I wanted to know which ones are STILL part of HHonors, not the ones that are no longer participating.

The Las Vegas Hilton, Paris Las Vegas, and Bally's will all give you HHonors points, but are limited in the benefits that they extend to VIPs. You can use the spa at the LV Hilton if you are silver or above.

Does anyone know if Bally's Atlantic City gives Hilton points? What about fot comped rooms, do they count as a stay?

Thanks, Jay

We can use the spa at the LV Hilton. Great, I am Gold and I'm there! That saves about $20 per person to access spas.
So I understand also from this thread that the Flamingo Hilton Las Vegas is not offering this special anymore either.

John, did your answer mean that the Flamingo Las Vegas dropped out of HHonors but Ballys, Paris & LV Hilton are still in?

I received Flamingo Las Vegas credit for a 12/16/00 stay, so they were still participating as of December..

Flamingo Las Vegas will not be in HHonors after Jan. 1, 2001. If you have your statement that you get at checkout, they are no longer printed "Flamingo Hilton Las Vegas", but rather "Flamingo Las Vegas".
Still awaiting an official answer from Adam and the HHonors customer service dept., as to whether Ballys and Paris still give HHonors points and benefits after Jan. 1.

One of the employees at Bally's in Las Vegas told me on December 29 that they will be offering HH points during 2001, but I'll feel more comfortable believing it when we get some sort of official response from Hilton Honors.

After a one night stay this week in Paris nd then another in Ballys, Both are fully respecting the HHonors program for now.

Both check-in agents happily put my number on the account, both had no idea that anything might be happening that would affect the properties relationship with HHonors, and I received an upgrade to Concierge floor (upon request) at Paris. (Ballys does not have one.)

All is status-quo for now.
