Hawaii - King Kam Hotel --- > Courtyard by Marriott

News to me: saw a note in the Travel section of our local Sunday paper that the King Kamehameha Hotel in Kailua-Kona will re-brand itself as a Courtyard Marriott before the end of 2011.

The King Kam is still recovering from the tsunami that swept through the ground floor after the earthquake in Japan.

Marriott is pushing for more of a presence of their sub brand ( courtyard ) on the islands
There are two hotels they rebranded as Courtyards on Kauai and Oahu.
There is a brand new, built from the ground up Courtyard being built right now on Maui near the airport, and now this third rebranded hotel in Kona.
I wonder what's next ?

I wonder if the rates will go up.
