Hilton HHonors - Upgrade benefits if using 50% off reward

I am staying at a Doubletree resort over New Year's weekend using a 50% off reward. Will I still be eligible to be upgraded because of my gold status? I don't expect to and wouldn't be upset if I wasn't I was just wondering.

I've known of others getting upgraded on free, as well as 50% off vouchers and it seems to depend on the property and the front desk clerk - so good luck! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
