Hilton HHonors - Bad on-line connections @ Hilton

I almost always have problems getting my laptop to connect when I stay at Hiltons.
When I do, it usually connects at very slow speeds.
I do not seem to have the same problem when I stay at other hotels.
I'm wondering if others have similar problems or if it's my companies problem with the main frame I'm calling into.

I'm not sure why Hilton would be worse than any other chain, since outbound connections are a function of the PBX switch and the type of lines feeding it from the Telco. I'm rarely able to get V.90 connections (above 33.6) dialing out of hotels, so it's great that more and more locations are providing high speed access in their rooms.

This week, I stayed at 2 Marriotts and 1 Hilton. At both Marriotts, my computer connected on the first try at speeds between 33,600 to 42,000. At the Hilton, each time I went to connect, it took at least 3 tries and when it did connect, the fastest speed was about 16,000. My company has not put high speed access on the laptops so I'm at a disadvantage with that respect.
