Oceania (Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific) - Which town to stay in for southwest of Perth?

Hi, we are intending to visit the southwestern part of Perth in September. I am wondering, among Albany, Denmark and Walpole, which would be a better place to base ourselves? Thank you.

Any of those places would be good but Albany is bigger so would have more options and is more accesible to the Porongurups and the Stirling Range. Be aware the end of September is school holidays in WA so that will impact on cost and availability of accomodation south of Perth.
