Dear HK board regulars and visitors,
Arriving at HKG early morning this week and no schedule until the afternoon. Would therefore like to do exercise in form of swimming and freshen up at the same time. I know there is a pool at the airport Regalia hotel but how about other suggestions?
This time I'll only be going to Kowloon but for future reference also suggestions in other areas are of interest. Thanks for any advice!

For future reference . . .
Victoria Park on Hong Kong Island has a huge swimming center with (I believe) three pools. I did not swim there but they were all extremely busy very early in the morning when we checked them out - maybe they clear up later in the day. The swimming center is also in the midst of a large renovation but the existing pools are still open. There is a fee.
And access to the park is unbeatable as it is literally adjacent to Tin Hau station.

There are lots of public swimming pools dotted around.

If you're staying in Kowloon, the W has a wicked killa pool up on the 76th floor. The Peninsula pool is also quite nice, but 20 meters. On the Island side, the FS and the GH have pretty nice setups too.

Long enough for laps.

That picture doesn't answer the question. And "long enough for laps" is also subjective.

20 m length
Good enough, I guess. 25 meters would be better, but you can't always have that, especially at 118 stories. The W pool is 25 meters (outdoors, 76th floor), the GH is 50 meters, and the Pen is 22 meters, I believe. FS is also 25 meters. Crappiest ones are at the MO and LMO, 12 and 15 meters, respectively. The Hyatt in Shatin is also good, 25 meters.

Not sure about access to the hotel pools if you aren't a guest at the hotel.
I watched a video about the RC and they said the spa would be limited to
only 50 members outside of hotel guests.

Or a member of their fitness club. I believe all of the above have non-hotel guest membership programs. My read of the OP is that he was willing to stay at the right hotel if it had the right kind of pool.

Thank you all for the excellent and discerning suggestions. For several reasons I do prefer hotel pools to most public ones and this thread seems to have brought up the "places to swim" in HK.
