Hotel Deals - [EXPIRED] Kuta Indah Hotel Lombok $.03 for about a week

That is in a deluxe room. This in on venere.com. The fare came to my attention through a kayak search. The hotel looks grim, and the rate is not prepaid, so I doubt it will hold. I got through to the credit card page but didn't book because the place scares me and I haven't any set plans. The $.03 is for a deluxe room, and a regular room is closer to $.02 for those looking to save a bit.

Looks like the consensus is overall OK, and considering the price--it's a bargain even if you have to pay a housekeeper to spruce it up!

I was able to see the cheap prices thru march 2012. Tried to book it but got an error page.
My price was actually showing $0 USD, not even $0.03, although a few minutes ago it was showing a price in IND, so it seems like the venere website might be experiencing difficulties.

Only till March ? Too bad, I was going to book the entire hotel for a decade ! I was then going to offer the owner $50 for the whole property. He'd have to be stupid to turn me down with me controlling all his rooms. I like Lombok & with the new airport the island should take off. The place to stay in Kuta is the Novotel. It's an amazing property. It's a bit more then $.03 though. wj

Yesterday, I was able to get through to the credit card screen at times but didn't try to book because I don't have venerable plans. Even if processed, I see little prospect of getting the fare honored. Last year, I booked a suite at Arqueologo in Cusco for $1 a night, and easytobook canceled it within an hour or processing claiming the credit card info was wrong.

I was not able to pull this up,
but haven't tried very hard,
as I have bookings at the HI Baruna.

That said, IIRC many years ago,
some mistake rates at Venere.com were honored.

Well, before you make any plans - I had an awful experience with venere.com booking a mistake rate in Moscow (they mixed euros and roubles, the room was 4 euros instead of 160) - the hotels just cancelled and venere.com wasn't willing to do anything regarding this.

Thanks for the warning, iggyray. I'm going to cancel the reservation but will let it hang out for a few months just to see if anything happens. I checked it on venere, and it shows a confirmation from the hotel for the $.01ish rate. It also shows my canceled reservation for Cusco from easytobook. I hadn't known the sites were related.

Staying in Bali from the 7th till the 14th of September. They must have corrected the price. - Now every date shows $17, $21 including taxes. Would have been nice to have booked it if only as a back up.

That does not at all mean effectively cancelled. Take a look at the Baruna Bali deal. Reply back that you have a confirmation for 80 IDR and believe they should honor it.
