I am currently a Gold at Hilton, and after next week, will have 20 stays at Hilton's for the year. Has anyone ever asked (and granted) to be upgraded to Diamond status since I am only at the 1/2 way point for 2000 and am well ahead of pace to reach Diamond status.

Any thoughts/comments/suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Yes, received Diamond in May (for the rest of 2000 only) after completing 30+ nights. Have now qualified for next year with 60 nights, and its still only July !

They will not comp Diamond status, but you are very close to the stay requirement of 28. That is why Tim_T got his because he qualified under the 28 stays vice the 60 nights. Keep plugging 28 stays is close. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Sorry scott, but with 60+ nights under my belt, I still have 'only' 20 stays.

Wait a minute, I though that as soon as you got 60 nights or 28 stays you became Diamond for the remainder of the existing year (2000) and for the entirety of the next year (2001). Is that not the case?

We are now at 23 stays and will be at 30 before month's end.

Yes, that is correct. I'm just saying that in the Spring, I had hit 30+ nights with about 12 stays and asked if I could be Diamond to the end of 2000. This was agreed. I've now hit 60 nights with 20 stays and have just been sent a Diamond card valid thru to April 2002.
