I just read a newspaper article that domestic flights within South Africa had been cancelled due to the ash cloud from Chile. I have an upcoming trip to South Africa and am not overly amused by the prospect of being stuck/having to reorganize my entire itinerary.
I canīt seem to find a huge amount of current info regarding flights to/within South Africa, so Iīd like to ask those who are there right now for their input:
1) Have many domestic flights been affected/cancelled?
2) How about intīl flights?
3) Is there any info on whether this situation is going to continue for the next coming weeks or is it more like a one-time indicent? (itīs quite a distance between Chile and South Africa, must be quite a bad ash cloud)
Thanks in advance!
