04JUL CDG 2E arrive at 6.05am, heading for WAS at 16.03 (layover 9h 58min) with AF.
Coming via KAT and DEL to CDG I'll be pooped.
-- Are there any chances of being a guest in lounge?
-- Any other suggestions where to rest up affordably?

almost ten hours is enough to go into central Paris,
if you provide more info on what you are looking for, i am sure other members will give you tips

welcome to FT

Merci, Mynameismud.
I'll try the lounge link. Coming from KTM I already have a 6h layover in DEL so this time I'll need a good rest at CDG

There is a Sheraton hotel in the terminal building at CDG, but day rooms are usually expensive (EUR 200 range). Cheaper hotels within 30 min shuttle bus from the airport. The lounges are not really set up for sleeping, it isn't like HKG or SIN.

Thanks. I thought there were lounges with areas to relax. I'll check the Sheraton - I hear they offer reduced "day rooms" rates.

http://www.between9and5.com
lists hotels offering day rooms and prices. AT CDG the Sheraton is the most expensive: 105€

The Ibis can offer rooms for a minimum of 2 hours during the day. I don't remember the exact price, but it must have been around 16€ per hour when I last used it. It is located on the CDGVAL line at the Roissypole stop. Nothing fancy, but I got a shower and slept for three hours. ^

The only problem is that there are days when there is no room available on this hourly rate.

Thanks. Sheraton didn't answer my mails. I rang IBIS - they cost 12€ an hour but don't accept bookings: Try on the day ...

Just a straight 12€ per hour, with no minimum?

It is two hours minimum, unless I am mistaken.
