SkyTeam - JFK - DUB 7/25-7/31 Award Help

All,
I would like to book my first award flight for a trip for my GF and myself to see her family in Ireland. I have never booked an international award flight and I'm afraid that I will not be using my miles to the fullest. Currently I have 180k miles on Delta with my medallion benefit unused. What skyteam airline member should I be looking to book with. Any chance of getting business class or is that out of the question with the limited miles. Flights run about $1000 for coach for the dates I am looking so if I should hold off to use them another time I will.

If you're using DL miles, this is probably a better topic for the DL forum than for the ST forum, but I'll leave that to the mods.

Are you at all flexible in your dates? I'm not seeing any low miles inventory for the specific dates. However, if you can be a bit flexible, you might be able to do biz for 100K per person (plus some taxes and fees). Using the FB engine on airfrance.us, I'm seeing availability that should be bookable with DL miles for JFK-DUB on:

11-12, 18-20, 23, 25-26, July
3, 5, 7, 10-11 August

For DUB-JFK, you've got:

4, 7, 11-13, 17, and 19 as viable options

Some are on AF metal, connecting in CDG, and others are on the DL nonstop. Unfortunately, that's on the 752, whose business class isn't looked upon very favorably around these parts. Coach availability doesn't look very good during the period you're looking for.
