Is anyone here familiar with the existence (or not) of any convenient AEP ATM for international arrivals? (Arrival at an hour where I definitely do not want to use a machine in the city.)

Thanks

Im sure there are several ATM machines in the hall area (oustide the sterile areas)... Ive seen at least one large Banelco machine and I could bet there are others. Dont ask me where they are exactly, but they are there. Sorry I cant be more specific.

I've found several at Jorge Newbury, I'm not sure which will be closest to your arrival gate:

1. Upstairs past security, near the escalator that heads down to luggage claim. Its near gate 5.
2. If you're facing the Aerolineas check-in counter, turn right (back towards the parking area) and walk about 100 meters, there's one on your left, near the newstand.
3. There's one in the long hall between parking and the Aerolineas check-in counter. I think Aerolineas has a 1st class lounge in the same hall.

Sorry to hijack the thread a little bit, is it so bad in Buenos Aires at night that one should stay away from ATMs?

Generally no but it pays to err on the side of caution. Much better to use an ATM in a relatively busy airport than in a deserted street in microcentro.

Indeed....it makes sense. ^

I'm familiar enough with the city to know that I really don't want to go alone to an ATM at about 11pm and leave it, alone, in an area that will not be full of people.

No... dont be paranoid but use common sense and you will be fine.

There were no machines that I could see until after leaving the customs area. When in the "general circulation" area, I asked someone who was mopping the floors if there was one. If you go straight ahead toward the check-in counters, there is a machine just before the LAN counter.
