Hilton HHonors - Hilton Douple Dip promo question

The Hilton website says:
"Why choose between hotel points or airline miles when Hilton gives you both? It’s called Double Dipping.® By being a member of both Hilton HHonors and one of more than 30 participating HHonors airline partner programs, you can earn both HHonors points and airline miles for the same business rate stay."
My question is....does this promotion work for stays at properties other than Hilton. You know, Hampton Inn, Red Lion, etc?

I think that April 1 is the date that Promus will join the ranks of the HHonors system.

A quickie...
Do Double Dip stays have to be COMPLETED by Feb 28th? Or started by Feb 28th? I'm checking out this Thurs which is Mar 1, but I'll check out Thursday if I can get double points for the stay.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
For a stay on 2/28 - c/o 3/1. The room charges are posted on 2/28. Therefore, I am guessing that yes, the double double promo applies.
Checking in on 2/28 for more than one nights adds a twist - not sure what the answer is.
I think we need Adam's help on this one.

How about arriving today and leaving Fri. the second. That's where we stand. Double or not?

Called Honors and was told all stays ORIGINATING on/before 2/28 count toward "Double Dippin'".

hreamer -- Just to clarify: Double Dip is a regular feature of HHonors allowing you to earn both miles and points. The promotion you are talking about is Double Double... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
