Just got an email about a Net SAAver deal, JFK/LGA-EZE for $477 + taxes and fees eachway.

Fares must be ticketed no later than 11:59 p.m. (CT) Sunday,
June 19, 2011, for flights departing anytime Tuesday, June 21, 2011, through Friday,
June 24, 2011, with a return the following Monday through Wednesday.

Only bad thing is that travel can only last for a week. For such a long flight it would be nice to have it stretched to 2 weeks. Anyway, not sure who else is based out of NYC that flies to EZE, but this is a great deal. The best price I have ever seen for this flight in the past was $800 each way before taxes and fees.

I don't like winter anymore, last year I spent 5+ week in Bs As just visiting my family/friends and it was like 2 weeks on summer, the day is too short :(

Check Lan, they usually have some good fare for JFK-MIA, sometimes cheaper than MIA-EZE. I had 2 weeks off starting this Friday and I didn't buy a ticket for $845 (6/16 to 6/29) because is winter :( ( $935-10% off sale -10% off coupon).

PS: don't you have AA or BA miles? JFk-EZE is 40k miles for RT ticket in spring break :)

I completely agree. They are doubling down. Winter is coming to BsAs and they are trying to get as much traffic before off-peak starts.

If you have never been to BsAs this could be a quick, nonstop flight, and cheap way to do it.

Well coming from NYC, BsAs "winter" is not to bad and besides its more like fall right now.

I do have that 100k BA promo miles. Like you suggested I am looking to get the off-peak travel so I can get 2 R/T out of them, haha. Stretching those miles.

If the day is too short then I suggest you get out earlier in the morning instead of lying in bed. :p

Light around seven in the morning and getting dark just after six. Compared to a Scottish winter day that means four hours extra light here.....it's wonderful. ^
I prefer the capital in winter....not so keen being there on a hot summer day.

yeap :D but I hate summer too :p

If you have 100K BA you can get 5 R/T off-peak on AA metal ;)

JFK-EZE 3/3/2012

EZE-JFK 3/20/2012

for

40K + 61.50 (taxes)

or

20K + $255 (20K) + 61.50 (taxes)=20K+316.50 ^ ;)

100K BA miles = 5 R/T (off-peak) for a total of $1,582.50

Indeed you can. Great bargain using BA miles + cash yet those American dudes are always going on about how useless the BAEC is.

That is a great deal and I agree all AAdvantage members who got the 100K BA do is complain how sucky BA is. They seem pretty good to me! I can easily do all my travel off-peak to get the best out of those miles.

I tried using BA.com and going to Executive Club tab then Spending miles. Then I input all the data and search. This causes the red box that british does not fly this route and I click on the "include partners" tab and I still get no availablitly.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for the help.

No availability means no availability. :p

BA only have access to AA MileSaver award seats. If you see them on the AA site then BA will be able to book them.

The above is yet more proof to what Ive been saying for a long time now... the FF game is nothing like it used to be. Mileage inflation and the big hidden enemy (capacity controls and award seat inventory management) make this like a Casino for the frequent flyer..... the House (aka the Airlines) always win.

You will get "include partners" twice before you see the seats ;)
As HIDDY said, If you see them on the AA.com you will be able to book them on BA.com

I love BA to check partners availability, they tell you how many seats are available ^

PS: I agree with you Gaucho100K, looks like AA only have 7 awards available on each fly (off-peak seats)

This year especially has been difficult to find award seats in both Oneworld and Star Alliance. I reckon people are travelling again after a couple of years of recession.
I know BA awards are being snapped up left right and centre on the S American routes due to the USA Chase BA mile bonanza.I've managed to concoct a right odd routing for our annual holiday to the UK and back.
EZE-GRU-LHR-YVR-SEA-ORD-GRU-EZE using both Oneworld and Star carriers.

For me its simple..... airlines are putting less and less award seats up for grabs.... ff programs are becoming more and more mainstream so more and more folks are fighting over less and less award seats.

Im now a retired frequent flyer so perhaps Im missing something very relevant... but I think that miles are worth almost nothing today unless you have a HUGE pile and can pay crazy amounts of miles for free premium cabin seats and/or have status in a program, buy a business class seat and can upgrade to F... this latter option seems to be the only perk that still works on some 3 class carriers because they can still sell a premium cabin (and premium price) ticket....

thanks for the help. I forgot about going to AA first to check the milesaaver dates. I see them now, and they are brilliantly good deal. Theres still a lot available for august, only 1.5 months out.

I have just started my FF career and I am a recent graduate. I must say the ability to get 5 R/T to EZE for a third of the cost is cool with me. haha
