Thanks for your help!! 7Continents Jun 14, 11, 7:00 am If you mean Princeton, NJ the public option is: AirTrain to Jamaica Any LIRR train to Penn Station Any NJ transit train to Trenton connects to shuttle train to Princeton Junction if needed. This is 3 separate services / you need to purchase an exit fare at Jamaica, then an LIRR ticket in Jamiaca then a NJ Transit ticket in Penn Station. Not easy for a tourist but certainly not horrid and the cheapest option. Analise Jun 14, 11, 7:52 am Any NJ transit train to Trenton connects to shuttle train to Princeton Junction if needed.By going to the NJ Transit website, one can find trains that stop at Princeton Junction—no additional shuttle trains to Princeton Junction. This is on the Northeast Corridor Line. Usually there are about 2 an hour...more during rush hour. Princeton Junction is outside of Princeton so someone will either pick you up, QMConsultant, take a shuttle called the "Dinky" into town or you can take a taxi into Princeton. Amtrak won't work unless you're arriving at JFK very early. The last train of the day to leave for Princeton Junction from Penn Station on July 5 departs at 7:25am. craz Jun 14, 11, 8:15 am I know there is a station on campus across from McArthur Theater and it seems to be the end of the line, dont know if that is Princeton Junction or not, and the few times Ive passed I didnt see any cabs either, dont know how far it maybe from the main buildings guv1976 Jun 14, 11, 7:07 pm Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8530/5.0.0.601 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/417) I think that the OP would be best served by the one-seat ride offered by Olympic Airporter. Details here: http://olympic-limo.com/schedule-from-princeton.html nycflyer Jun 15, 11, 12:59 am The Dinky is the Princeton Junction <-> Princeton shuttle and meets almost every NJ Transit train that arrives or departs from Princeton Junction. Schedules are online here: http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/rail/R0070.pdf If you are going to one of the office parks or hotels along Route 1, Princeton Junction is your likely destination; if you are going to Princeton University or IAS then Princeton is your destination. The Princeton stop is at the edge of campus and is walking distance to all buildings on campus. The Princeton Junction stop is not within walking distance to any hotel, you would have to get a cab from there. Note you can cut travel time to Princeton by half by arriving at EWR rather than JFK. EWR is on the main NE Corridor train line, there are direct trains from EWR to Princeton Junction. LX has an all business flight ZRH-EWR, perhaps that is an option for you? If you must use JFK then I second the recommendation for the direct Airporter van ride. The ride is 3hrs and not cheap ($53 ow) but at least you would not need to deal with three transfers on the Airtrain -> LIRR -> NJ Transit trip. |
