Hello,

It's June 2011. I am planning to visit San Francisco in November and am interested in staying at Fairmont Heritage Place, Ghirardelli Square. Looking at various websites like hotels.com, and even Fairmont's own website, it seems that the cheapest room would be a One Bedroom Residence City View at $399, not including taxes (and non-refundable). Is this a good price? I am wondering if I should go ahead and just book it. Or should I wait a little longer hoping that prices would drop. Also, both hotels.com and the Fairmont website have the same price. Would it be better to book the room directly through the Fairmont website or are there any advantages to use hotels.com.

Any comments would be most appreciated.

Thank you.

Warren

$399/night is a pretty good rate at the Fairmont Ghiradelli Square, Iīve very rarely seen a lower rate than that for this property, and often rates start at >$500.

If you can get the same rate on the Fairmont website, Iīd definitely book it there, thereīs no advantage in booking it on hotels.com or any other third party website.

Thanks for the comments.

Also, I know the hotel has valet parking but being at $50 a night, that can add quite a lot to the room rate. Would you know if there are any other options? Is there self parking? And if so, would this be in and out? Or, are there any other choices near the hotel?

Thanks again.

$50/night isnīt unusual for SFO, unfortunately. I donīt think there are any "cheap" parking options near Ghiradelli Square, most people avoid taking a car to SFO and just use public transport/taxis.
