Hi guys!
I stayed in this hotel twice (2008 and 2009) and really enjoyed it. Of course, that was when it first opened (and it was on my employer's tab). Is it still a good hotel? Based on my previous experiences, I'm tempted to go check it out for my next trip to DC, but I doubt that it's worth it to get a room and I don't know whether it's still a chic/fun/comfortable place to stay.
Thanks!

What's the best way to get to Donovan House in Thomas Circle from DCA? I'm not familiar with traffic in DC, is taking a cab a good idea? If yes, how much will it cost?

Not sure when you arriving but I would advise against taking the metro on weekends unless you are a very patient person. Cab is the way to go.

+1 Metro is good during the week, but it's a bit of a hike from the metro to the Donovan House and trains can be challenging on a weekend.

I use to live in Thomas Circle and it would typically take me 5 mins to walk from the McPherson Metro stop to the Donovan House area. On weekends, you'd probably wait 12 min max for the train.
However if you're visiting, cab is always the way to go because you don't want to waste precious minutes.
