Los Angeles - Hollywood Roosevelt

I have a trip coming up to LA. I decided to hit for the Roosevelt and booked a Cabana Room with direct Pool access. However I am not happy with the size of the room. Was anybody able to get an upgrade? The Roosevelt is a member of Thompson Hotels. Unfortunately they dont have a membership rewards program. Any ideas on that?

I've never been given an upgrade at the Roosevelt, but you can always try the folded $20 trick and see if it works there. I really wouldn't worry about the size of the room though. If you have the opening into the cabana, you should be fine. Just leave the doors open while you are there and enjoy the LA sun!!!

Plus, you probably won't be in your room half the time anyway :)
