I actually travel there for govt travel, and this is my first time actually being a Ambassador I have been Plat for numerous years and finally got upgraded

So you're plain Ambassador, not Royal? The T&C are clear on the website, I wouldn't expect anything more then that.

Lack, you are correct..... plain not royal

amb = 1 level upgrade and that's it for the room. No club access, no free brekkie! Free movies and normally a small local gift - some good some not.

The urge to drink everything in the minibar as fast as possible perhaps? :D

You will be greeted as an "Ambassador" when you checkin, even at the lowliest HIX. The bellhop will take your bags up to the room and the butler will unpack them. He will then draw you a bath, should you so choose. About an hour later you can expect a delivery of a free bottle of wine and a small snack, courtesy of the concierge, who will then call up to inquire about restaurant reservations. Not to worry, as an Ambassador you will be able to get into the finest restaurants worldwide, with no advance reservation! Oh, and don't forget the secret handshake. ;)

This is the most ridiculous post I have ever seen. You need to be more assertive.

As an Ambassador I have never needed to check-in. The bath is already drawn and filled with floating rose-petals. Champagne (Krug) on ice and caviar are waiting in the room. I have never needed restaurant reservations, the local highest-Michelin-starred chef has always personally cooked for me in my suite.
