I have looked at this topic on other forums, but can never seem to find a definitive answer.
I am traveling to TPA on Friday and was wondering if I will get into the lounge. I am US silver but I do have a US club membership. At this time it looks like I am not going to get an upgrade so chances are I will not be in First Class.
Thanks

Yes, as long as you are on a *A flight. According to this (http://www.usairways.com/en-US/traveltools/club/memberships.html) you get access to all *A lounges. All you have to do is show membership card and *A ticket when going to a non-US/UA/CO lounge
Also, when in doubt, you can put in your route here (http://www.staralliance.com/en/benefits/lounges/lounge-finder/) with all the details, and it will tell you any lounge access.

As a note, domestic first class does not grant you lounge access so whether you upgrade clears has no barring on lounge access.

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to get into the club with no problems. I just hope you get there well before the LH Frankfurt flight. Otherwise, it's kinda tough finding a seat. Overall the Club is good, with real food and self-serve alcohol (at least on the "left" side).

There is full-reciprocity for any *A club member to any other *A airline's club (or, in the case of airlines with multiple levels of clubs such as LH, you're guaranteed access to the most appropriate club available at the given airport/time). If you're ever told otherwise, you're being told wrong -- it's part of the *A agreement, so it's incumbent upon all *A carriers.
If you're a US Club Member (regardless of your class of travel that day or your status), you will have access to the LH lounge. You're "entitled" to use the Business Lounge, but often at DTW if it's slow they will only open the Senator Lounge and let everyone in there (to consolidate).

Is the first link in my first reply accurate though? Concerning you must be on a *A ticket to utilize non-US/UA/CO *A lounges. I'm not too sure on OP's travel plans, just know DTW-TPA, could be DL nonstop or a US stop in CLT.

I am on a US flight with a stop in CLT

I went to this club with US Air club membership on US air flight. No need to show *A gold card. They are open for 5:00-18:30. It was crowded in the afternoon before LH departure. It is a great lounge - serving two hot foods, salads, self serving alcohols(limited selection in Business lounge). German staffs were great and very attentive.

I am heading to DTW for the first time in many years. Is this lounge still around? Will I be able to get access based on my *G status? Where is in relationship with US gates?
Thanks,

It's in the same terminal as US, but at the entire other end -- count on a long, brisk walk down to US gates.
This said, this is one of the hidden gems of US club membership. Food like in the old days of the PHL Envoy club.Nice of the LH folks to accommodate all of the US/UA types hieing off to less exotic places like PHL, PHX, DCA, EWR and so on.
Also, this is a club that I don't think shows readily on most sites ... I found out about it asking US check-in folks.

Don't assume LH is letting you do this out of the kindness of their heart! Of course they are charging your airline/FFP for the use of their lounge. :p

Agreed with everyone above. I've been there more than a few times. It's a small but very nice club, but as stated above it's quite a distance from the US gates.

Domestic F does get one access to the LH lounge at DTW (and IAD).
A *S can access the LH lounge at DTW with a *A F boarding pass for a flight from DTW.
A *G can access the LH lounge with either a *A F boarding pass for a flight from DTW or a same-day *A flight from DTW and their *G card. It is usually an uphill battle getting into an LH club if not in a premium cabin and if you don't have your *G card with you. Having *G printed on your Y BP will likely not work.

Update:
I visited
It was around a 7 minute brisk walk from the US gate
I gave my boarding pass and *G card to the agent. She said something to the effect of, "you are in first class so that is adequate" (she scanned the BP and did not swipe the *G card). I was travelling DTW-PHL
As is typical with LH lounges, if you are looking for food nothing else competes. If you want quite and privacy to get work done, they are so-so

I get the Business Lounge based on my US Club membership, but does Domestic F get the Senator Lounge?

I am back to *G, but a few months ago, I was US Silver/*S, traveling from BOS-FRA on LH. However, I have a US Club membership - which clearly states *Lounge on the card. I wanted to use the LH Business Lounge - they wouldn't allow me to access the lounge.

E-mail US Club customer service, that's a violation of the *A lounge agreement.

I've used the DTW LH lounge a number of times without any issues. I get the impression it mostly accomodates US/UA/AC pax because it's open so early in the morning. The lounge staff there are very friendly!
