Hopefully an easy answer for someone - is it possible to travel between terminals at MSP without leaving security? I'd like to fly in on Sun Country Airlines, and then connect to Delta, but that does mean traveling between terminals. Thanks!

Nope. You can get everywhere within Lindbergh without leaving the secure zone, but the Humphrey is totally separate on the other side of the airport.
BTW - if anyone from the MSP management group is listening. It would be REALLY helpful if you could put Lindbergh MAIN on the signs on the highway. I've talked to more people who've gone to the wrong terminal!

No, the Humphrey terminal is actually a couple of miles away from the Lindberg terminal. You need to take a train to reach it. Saying they are different terminals is misleading. They are actually different airports entirely.

Oh,they re-signed everything last year and now Lindbergh is Terminal 1 and Humphrey is Terminal 2, and the airlines are listed on the highway signs at the airport entrances.

As stated earlier, terminal change is necessary. Plan lots of extra time. I don't even think Sun Country has baggage agreements with other airlines, so if you are checking bags, unless you read or hear otherwise, plan on claiming and rechecking.

To change terminals at MSP, you need to take the light rail line one stop. It operates 24/7 between the terminals and there is no charge to just ride between the terminals. I've even seen people board with rented airport baggage carts, although please don't try to use them on esclators, use elevators instead. Trains run ten minutes every ten minutes during the business day and every fifteen minutes at most other times. The station is a long indoor walk at Terminal 1 (Lindbergh) from the baggage claim area and even farther from the check in counters.
If you have no luggage to check and either have printed your boarding pass or have a DL eticket and can use the kiosks to check in/print documents, then upon arrival at Terminal 1 via the light rail train, you should follow the signs to the skyway security checkpoint to save time (short lines, but nude-o-scope operated sometimes).
