Has anyone been to this resort since it opened? Is it possible to use the fairmont upgrade or free night certs at this Raffles? Also is it possible to use the fairmont Capital One gift cards at this resort?
Any trip reports from here?

You canīt use any Fairmont upgrade or free night certs at Raffles hotels.
Iīm not a 100% sure about the GCs, but I donīt think you can use the Fairmont GCs at Raffles hotels as they have their own GCs.
P.S. The Raffles Seychelles just opened a few months ago. You may find someone in the Luxury hotel forum who has been there or knows more about the property.

Thanks Jasper for the info as always.
So is basically the only benefit of the fairmont/Raffles/Swiss Hotels partnership is that your status is recognized across the 3 chains and so being a fairmont platinum, I may get upgraded if I were to book a stay at a raffles?
I feel like I remember reading that you also become a Raffles or Swiss hotel platinum and therefore get some certs or perks for that but I could be mistaken.

Indeed, the main benefit of the partnership between the three brands is that you get stay credit with FPC when you stay at Swissotel and Raffles hotels. There are some other minor benefits like free newspaper, free local calls etc. which are listed here (http://www.fairmont.com/promo/fpc_crossbrand)
I donīt think thereīs any way of getting a confirmed upgrade at either hotels as a FPC Platinum member, though Iīd guess they may rather give a comp. upgrade (likely a one-category upgrade) to a FPC Platinum member than a "nobody".
Both Raffles and Swissotel have their own loyalty program which offers some benefits to their own elites like F&B vouchers, free nights, upgrades etc.
The three brands have a destinct target group and therefore offer different benefits:
Swissotel (3.5*-4*): mostly business travellers
Fairmont (4*-5*): mix of high-end business travellers and leisure travellers
Raffles (5*): luxury segment (mostly leisure travel)
The only way to get some additional benefits and possibly an upgrade would be to do some research whether the Raffles Seychelles is associated with any of the following programs: Virtuoso, Signature, Ensemble, AMEX FHR
If you book through any of those programs/travel agents, you can get some additional benefits like upgrades, F&B credit, breakfast etc.

You don't mean the Fairmont Seychelles, right? As far as I know, there isn't one...
