Let me remind you that there are some handsome ways to get some free shipboard credit by referal from a previous cruiser. I will try to be as clear as possible.
1. The STEX program: Share the Experience Referal Program
Share the Experience is a unique loyalty and reward opportunity to Crystal Cruise guests. The preprogram designed to reward Guest and their friends who cruise together. Take advantage of this program recommend Crystal to your friends and get extra shipboard credits. Bring a new-to-Crystal guest with you on your upcoming journey and get up to $400 in shipboard spending credits, and shipboard spending credits for them! It's is the Crystal way of saying 'thank you' for your loyalty to Crystal, and enticing your friends and family to experience your favorite cruise line with you.
The catch is that you must refer someone on the same sailing as you are on.

(1) Sponsored guests must never have previously sailed on Crystal Cruises and must have booked voyages 1201-1203; 1206; 1301-1308 on or after July 7, 2010 to qualify.
(2) Sponsored guests must never have previously sailed on Crystal Cruises and must have booked voyages 1211-1213, 1221, 1224, 1226, 1228, 1230, 1231, 1309, 1311, 1317, 1320, 1323, 1324 on or after January 1, 2011 to qualify.
All sponsoring guests who bring a qualified sponsored new-to-Crystal guest on the same applicable voyage receive $400 per person shipboard credit. All qualified sponsored new-to-Crystal guests will receive $100 per person (up to $200 per stateroom) shipboard credit on voyages 1201-1203, 1206, 1301-1308 and $400 per person (up to $800 per stateroom) shipboard credit on voyages 1211-1213, 1221, 1224, 1226, 1228, 1230, 1231, 1309, 1311, 1317, 1320, 1323, 1324. Crystal Society members may share a stateroom with a new-to-Crystal guest and will receive 50% of the applicable Bonus Share the Experience benefit earned. New-to-Crystal sponsors may not refer their new-to-Crystal traveling companion staying in their same stateroom. If the sponsoring guest is also a referred guest, they will receive only the sponsoring credits. A maximum of 4 new-to-Crystal Bonus Share the Experience guests total per year may be sponsored by one person to earn a maximum of $1,600 shipboard credits (per year/per sponsor). Third berth guests are not eligible for this program. Both the sponsor and the new-to-Crystal guest must be full-fare and must sail on the full length of the same voyage. Crystal Society Onboard Benefits Program (shipboard credits, stateroom upgrades, Milestone Awards) is applicable. Crystal Society members will receive full cruise credit for their voyage. All Bonus Share the Experience shipboard credits cannot be used in the casino, for bingo, redeemed for cash or credit, cannot be carried over to another voyage and cannot be applied as a deposit toward a future cruise.
Fares listed are in U.S. dollars, per person, based on double occupancy, subject to availability, for category E on Crystal Symphony and category C on Crystal Serenity and do not include port, security and handling charges. 2-for-1 Fares are per person based on 50% of brochure fares. Fuel surcharges may be added at any time to defray increased cost of fuel, even if the fare has been paid in full. All offers may not be combinable with other promotions, apply to first two guests in stateroom or suite, are capacity-controlled, subject to availability and may be withdrawn or changed at any time without notice.
2. A new program:Crystal Referral Rewards Program. Here’s how the new Crystal Referral Rewards Program works:
Previous cruisers Recieve 3 certificates in the mail. We the previous sailors can then:
Pass certificates along to three friends or family members who have never before sailed on Crystal and encourage them to become New-to-Crystal Guests.
The New-to-Crystal Guest certificate provides savings of up to $250 per person on new bookings made after May 23, 2011.
When the New-to-Crystal Guest(s) books their cruise, submits the completed certificate and cruises aboard an applicable 2011-2012 voyage featured in this program, we will then send you the appropriate forms to complete in order to receive your monetary reward for making a successful referral.
Once Crystal receives your completed forms, your check(s) will be issued to you in the amount of $2,000 for each New-to-Crystal Couple or $1,000 for each New-to-Crystal Guest who completes an applicable cruise of eight days or longer. If they complete an applicable seven-day cruise, you’ll receive a check for $1,000 for each New-to-Crystal Couple or $500 for each New-to-Crystal Guest. This represents some serious money to the previous sailor.
Overall, you could receive a check directly from Crystal for up to $6,000!*
