Best Western Rewards - map in room says 2000 bonus points in CA/NV/HI, but website says in Louisiana only!

So I'm in a CA BW, and I remember I have a voucher expiring at the end of this month, and I see a CA/NV/HI map among the room materials, and I decide to pick it up to see where I might want to use my voucher.

After looiking at it, I fold it back up, and happen to put it down upside down.

On the back, it says "let's get to the points", and so I look closer, and it's talking about 2000 bonus points per qualified night (for up to 4 nights) for stays in CA/NV/HI through June 30, 2012.

It says to go to travelbestwestern.com/map for details, and mentions a promo code of CANVMAP12.

Well, I go that site:

but there it says it's only good at hotels in Louisiana, and only through August 31, 2012, and mentions the promo code of CANVMAP11.

(While realizing it's a promo code for 2011, I still dont' understand why a CA NV promo code is only good for stays in Louisiana? It's it's called CA NV MAP, it presumably came from a previous version of a CA/NV map, not a Louisiana map!)

Sounds like they gave you the wrong URL. I registered for this promo using CANVMAP12 but did it through the Rewards customer service line. I got a quick reply from using this form. https://goldcrownclub.bestwestern.com/custserv/email_us.asp

Actually, the website I gave the link for above has now been updated, and matches what I wrote was on the back of the map: 2000 bonus points per qualified night (for up to 4 nights) for stays in CA/NV/HI through June 30, 2012.

Note, however, that it does also say:

"Offer not valid with any other promotion or discount."

Based on that, I'm going to hold off on registering until I'm done with the current "main" promo (stay 3 get free night voucher, pay all 3 with BW MC get 6500, stay 2 of those 3 at different properties and get another 6500) before I register for this one, since I want to earn 6500+6500+(2000x4), and I'm concerned due to the wording that if I try to "double dip" on the same stays I might get locked out of one or the other. (And if I'm registered for both before I've completed one of them, if fear it'll automatically assume I tried to do both at the same time, and lock me out of one or the other!)

Now use CANVMAP13 and good through 12/31/2013
